Mica band heaters are often used for plastics injection molding and contact heating in machines, nozzles, tools, pipe systems and blow molding. For the plastic, foundry and rubber industry is this unit the most used electrical heater.
The construction of a mica band heater is done with high quality resistance wire, micanite sheets and a high temperature treated stainless steel casing. The band heater withstands temporary peak temperatures up to 350°C, has an even heat distribution and are impact resistance.
Mica band heaters can be provided with built in thermocouple and nipples, holes and slots for external temperature sensors.
Power supply can be connected by pre-assembled cables, connection boxes or contacts.
