>> The hot surface igniters we provide are made of silicon nitride which is an advanced ceramic material. Silicon Nitride is part of the group called monolithic ceramics and is a highly suitable material for use in hot surface igniters. The igniter reaches its working temperature at +1200°C in less than 6 seconds. All igniters are available in various wattages.
The igniters are robust and require no specialist handling. Our igniters have a much larger glowing portion than anything currently available which gives a faster ignition response. If an attempt is made to quench the igniters, they will recover. As well as being suitable for ignition, our igniters can act as sensors in a re-ignition system.
Because our hot surface igniters are so robust and suitable for use in so many different conditions, the possibilities are endless. We believe that this technology will lead to new applications for hot surface ignition.
