The transfer of heat is via direct contact between the heater and the medium. Thanks to this, one can achieve a very effective temperature control, which also provides a cost-effective heating. Immersion heaters are used as a heat source in hot water heaters, major appliances, boilers, industrial baths, oil filled radiators, towel warmers, etc. IHPs immersion heaters are also supplied in ATEX and Ex-versions.
IHPs Custom Immersion Heaters are available in a variety of materials and power ratings. Commonly used materials are copper (Cu), stainless steel (AISI 304, AISI 316L, AISI 321, SMO, incoloy ®), titanium (Ti). An immersion heater is constructed of tubular elements formed, soldered or welded and fitted with a nipple, flange or other element head. The nipple threads may be of the type G, R, BSP or metric. The flange is usually selected according to the DIN standard, but can also be triangular or as desired. The immersion heater can then be fitted with pockets for temperature sensors, thermo-stats, over temperature protection and can be fitted with connection box.
