By using a heating it´s possible to move the heated material to smaller containers or directly to an operational process. IHPs container heaters are used worldwide in a variety of industries, ranging from pharmaceutical to chemical, cosmetic and food manufacturing industries. Container Heating mats are the ideal solution for heating liquid materials stored in intermediate bulk containers.
Two types of heater are available. The IBC heater is a silicone mat heater for placement below the container liner before filling, coupled with a digital temperature controller this provides direct, accurate heating of the liner contents. An insulation jacket covering four sides and the lid is also available to aid warm up time.
The IBC silicone heating mat comprises a high temperature resistance wire element, laminated between silicone/glass sheets. A PTC temperature sensor is also embedded between the sheets. This connects to an electronic temperature controller via the heater power cable and provides accurate measurement and fast response to temperature changes at the bottom of the IBC liner. This makes the heater suitable for both high energy absorbing products and highly viscous, temperature sensitive materials.

For correct functioning of the RCD device the mounting bracket must have an earth bond strap to the metallic surface the heater is fixed to.
All container heaters are manufactured to conform to the EEC low voltage and EMC directives and CE marked accordingly. It is advised that power to the heater jacket be disconnected when the container is either empty or being filled, or upon installation or removal of the heater itself. It is recommended that the unit be operated in a dry environment with the container vented to avoid build up of internal pressure.
